About Us

St. Andrew Catholic School sits in the heart of South Orlando and was built in response to the demand by the community for a Catholic School.

Our mission is "a commitment to academic excellence and to developing the students’ spirituality and creativity in order to be Disciples of Christ in the 21st century."

The school building was erected in 1961 and officially dedicated on January 15, 1962. The project was funded in its entirety by the parish tithing program. In April 1963, by papal order, St. Andrew was given over in perpetuity to the Society of the Precious Blood. Over the years, the school expanded to meet the demand of the community adding two additional buildings with 16 classrooms, a library, office space and restrooms. The Society of the Precious Blood had the order reassigned to the Diocese of Orlando in 2009. In that same year, the school was awarded the Department of Education’s Blue Ribbon of Excellence Award.

Today St. Andrew embarks on yet another journey becoming a Notre Dame ACE Academy. This partnership will strengthen classroom instruction, enhance student enrollment practices and support optimal operations. St. Andrew is more than a school, we are a family of believers committed to the great tradition of Catholic Education. We are accredited by the Florida Catholic Conference and are a member of the National Catholic Education Association.

Our goals are simple: College and Heaven.
